A Better Environment

Konftel has a mission to develop and sell products that contribute to a better environment and is dedicated to improving the environment by making active choices. Konftel has long regarded its environmental activities as a vital part of its operations. In 1998, Konftel participated in the Eco Design project initiated by the Foundation for Swedish Industrial Design. During the project, we analysed the life cycle of the product, from raw material to final disposal. Therefore, we were aware early on of the importance of considering the environmental aspects regarding our product related decisions.

Our environmental assessment helped us identify the areas in our operations that we believe is important to focus on in order to improve our environmental performance. We have established environmental objectives with procedures, specified a division of responsibilities, and drawn up an environmental policy for the identified areas. The environmental policy serves to reinforce our prioritised commitment to environmental action within Konftel, and our determination to work towards a better environment by making active choices.

Konftel supports WWF (the world wide fund for nature) in their work to stop global warming. The WWF are working on many different levels to stop climate change. It covers everything from field work to save the endangered polar bear to influence and collaborations with various partners to achieve climate-friendly energy solutions.

In 2010 Konftel chose to support WWF (the World Wide Fund for nature) and their Forests programme by planting 1000 trees. WWF plant trees and restore forest in rainforests all over the world. Because of their work, endangered animals such as gorillas, orangutans and tigers can survive. Locals get to keep their forests as a vital source of water, food, fuel and natural medicines. Rainforests also binds large amounts of greenhouse gases and thus slow global climate change.
