Konftel Is On A Hybrid High

The continued transition into more hybrid ways of working between the home and office will ignite further growth in video and audio conferencing demand.

Manufacturer Konftel says resellers should continue to expect high sales as companies move into the next phase of deployment – and a desire for higher quality performance - following the initial mass migration to home working due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

UK Sales Director Jeff May, says new opportunities will continue to be created as businesses and organisations take a more balanced and agile approach, in a very uncertain world.

“After the initial explosion to the home what we expect to see over the next six to 12 months is major growth in hybrid video solutions, suitable for board rooms and huddle rooms and also dedicated home working environments, where users demand the highest quality audio and video experience. I think what Covid has shown is that some people want to work permanently from home, others prefer the office whilst many want a mixture of both.

“Hardware and software that ticks all the boxes across all three categories will accelerate much further forward – based on technology that’s easy to install and easy to use, wherever people are working.”

People’s requirements, applications and preferences are many and varied so it’s critical to offer as many options as possible. High performance video such as the new all-in-one Konftel CC200 collaboration camera are revolutionising the way people work (without the need for a computer) – representing a perfect fit for today’s dispersed workforce trends.

Simple but high quality add-on USB devices are also proving popular and Konftel offers a complete range of award-winning solutions, with its Ego portable bluetooth speakerphone, C20Ego and Cam20 and Cam50 camera systems, also leading the way.

Jeff concluded: “Whilst the majority of office refitting is now back on hold, people will eventually return, combined with more flexible working from home. In many ways we are approaching a Covid crossroads. Will there be a second wave in winter and are we better prepared as a country to cope? We all need to know what options we have and plan accordingly. One thing is for sure, video and audio conferencing will continue to grow as it provides a priceless and flexible way to connect people when they cannot interact face-to-face.”
