Konftel is a global technology company, with manufacturing based far from head office and employing workers all over the world. As such, we have a strong sense of duty when it comes to our environmental work and our corporate social responsibility.
Supplier Code of Conduct
Some of the principles that we follow as a manufacturer are set out in our owner Avaya's Supplier Code of Conduct. It contains information on topics such as:
Systematically identifying, reducing and managing emissions, pollution and the occurrence of hazardous chemicals.
Responsible extraction of minerals.
Management and responsible disposal of hazardous waste and recycling.
Constantly reviewing our water consumption and having a detailed management plan for wastewater and so on.
Carefully monitoring our energy consumption and seeking methods to minimize that consumption, improve efficiency and consequently reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Konftel is included in our parent company Avaya's membership of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) – the world's largest industry coalition dedicated to corporate social responsibility in global supply chains. Its purpose is to check up on and improve social, environmental and ethical conditions in the affiliated companies' supply chains, wherever they may be.
It includes the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) and the Responsible Factory Initiative (RFI). Through Avaya, we are also signed up to the Responsible Labor Initiative (RLI), the part of the RBA focused on ensuring that the rights of workers who are vulnerable to forced labor in global supply chains are consistently respected and promoted.
