How do I set up a conference call with a Konftel telephone?

If three parties wish to have a conference call, it can be done with the help of the three party conference call function in the telephone network/PBX. If more than three parties are to engage in the conference call, you can use a conference call service provided by a service provider.

I can't send DTMF when I try to log in to a conference bridge, what can I do?
-
First, make sure that you have the latest version of the software or at least 2.0.1. Change DTMF method to "Inband" under MENU > SETTINGS > ADVANCED > *PIN CODE (1234)* > MEDIA > DTMF SIGNALLING > INBAND Now the DTMF tones should work fine.

I'm not getting a dialling tone

Check that the phone is registered. This is shown as a shaded box in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen If the box is not shaded, contact your phone administrator.

I can no longer connect via Konftel Unite after upgrading Konftel 300IPx (iPhone/iPad)
-
Make sure you are using the latest Konftel Unite app before you upgrade the Konftel 300IPx.
If you upgrade from 2.7.11 (and earlier) and you have an iOS device (iPhone/iPad), which is already paired to Konftel 300IPx, you will need to remove the pairing in your iOS Bluetooth settings before you can use Konftel Unite again. To remove the pairing on iOS, go to Settings > Bluetooth, select Konftel 300IPx and then click on “Forget this device”.
After you have removed the pairing you may open Konftel Unite app and connect to Konftel 300IPx.

The phone does not register or loses registration over time.

Try changing the option Allow contact rewrite to No. You will find this option in the web interface under Settings and SIP.

Can I update the firmware?

Yes, download the Konftel Upgrade Utility from the Konftel web page and follow the instructions.

How can I update my Konftel 300IP/IPx with the latest software version?
-
You need to log in as an administrator to update software in the Konftel 300IP/IPx. You can search for the most recent version via the web interface and then install it automatically in the Konftel 300IP/IPx. For more details, see "Installation and Administration of Konftel 300IP".

How can I update my Konftel so I can connect a wireless headset?

Konftel 300/300IP have headset connection as standard. Earlier revisions can download a free software.

I'm having trouble updating my unit. Is there fix for that?
-
1. Restore the firmware on the phone by pressing and holding the MENU button during boot up of the phone. A rescue menu will appear and you should select "3. Restore firmware"
2. After the phone has booted, go to the web interface and login in as "Admin". Go to Provisioning and update the Konftel with this file: http://www.konftel.com/Download/konftel_300ip/KT300IP_UPGRADE_FIX.kt
3. After the phone has done a successful update it will reboot.
4. When the phone starts again, go to the Provisioning tab and do a normal update to the latest version

Can I record while I'm not in a call?

Yes, you can use the Konftel if you only want to record a "local" meeting. Do the following:
1. Press and hold the C/Rec button and confirm with "OK" on the Konftel.
2. To stop the recording press the C/Rec button and confirm with "OK".

How can I transfer a call?
-
During a active call, press the MENU button on the Konftel. A menu will pop up and then you can select "TRANSFER" and press OK. Enter the number where you want to transfer the active call and then press OK to complete the transfer. Please note that the Konftel 300IP will do a "blind transfer" and it's not supported on all systems.

Is the entire call recorded or only when someone is talking?

The ShoreTel system has a custom parameter to the "SIP Extension Profile" called XferFailureNotSupported. Please set that to 1 (XferFailureNotSupported=1) in the Custom Parameters field.

Can I use the old Konftel 200/200W/60W microphones to my Konftel?

No, you'll need the new expansion microphones with item number 900102113.

Does the Konftel microphone switch off when extra microphones are connected to my Konftel?

No, as opposed to the older Konftel models (200/200W/200NI), all three microphones are used.

Once a wireless headset has been connected to the Konftel, can it be used for answering?

No. There is only audio transmission going on between the unit and the wireless headset.

What output is used for the headset and PA system respectively?
-
The AUX port. If you intend to use both the wireless headset and PA system at the same time, connect the headset to the PA system.

Update your Konftel 300IPx
Via web interface
The easiest way to update your Konftel 300IPx is via a computer connected to the same network. Log into the Konftel 300IPx’s web interface as an administrator. Via the Provisioning tab, you can search for the latest version and install it automatically.
Manual software download
It is also possible to download the latest version and install the file via the Konftel 300IPx’s web interface or using an SD card. This can be useful if you have restricted internet access or if a conference phone is not installed and connected to the internet.
