How do I set up a conference call with a Konftel telephone?

If three parties wish to have a conference call, it can be done with the help of the three party conference call function in the telephone network/PBX. If more than three parties are to engage in the conference call, you can use a conference call service provided by a service provider.

Is the Konftel 300M compatible with all GSM/3G networks?
-
Yes. For Europe the mobile frequency is GSM 850/900/1800, 3G 900/210 and North America GSM 850/900/1900 and 3G/UMTS 850/1900.

The Konftel doesn't get a mobile signal. What can I do?

Make sure that the SIM card is inserted correctly and that you have locked the SIM card holder.

I get no audio from the unit. It worked previously. What can I do?

Try to just power cycle (remove the battery and put it back in) the unit.

The person on the other end who called in to the meeting says they hear an echo. What should I do?

Decrease the volume a notch on the Konftel as shown in the instructions in the user guide.

Can I update the firmware?

Yes, download the Konftel Upgrade Utility from the Konftel web page and follow the instructions.

I can't update using the Konftel Upgrade Utility, are there any other options to update?
-
You can update your Konftel with a SD card. Download the SD file from www.konftel.com/Support/Upgrade Put that in the root of the SD card and then put the Konftel conference unit in upgrade mode (MENU > SETTINGS > UPGRADE MODE). Insert the SD card and press the HOLD button to read from it. Follow the instructions on the display on the Konftel. * Please note that when updating using SD card it will reset the phone to factory defaults.

Can I record while I'm not in a call?

Yes, you can use the Konftel if you only want to record a "local" meeting. Do the following:
1. Press and hold the C/Rec button and confirm with "OK" on the Konftel.
2. To stop the recording press the C/Rec button and confirm with "OK".

How can I import contacts to the Konftel 300Mx?
-
The contacts are usually stored on the SIM card so if you want to import contacts you simply put the new SIM card into your mobile/cell phone and copy the contacts to the new SIM. Then import the SIM contacts on the Konftel 300Mx.

Is it possible to copy contacts from SIM card to phone book and from phone book to SIM card?

Yes, that is possible with the import/export to/from SIM card function.

Is the entire call recorded or only when someone is talking?

The entire call is recorded.

No, it doesn’t support quadband. Konftel 300Mx is not available in North America.

No, you'll need the new expansion microphones with item number 900102113.

You should only use expansion microphones with item number 900102113.

Does the Konftel microphone switch off when extra microphones are connected to my Konftel?

No, as opposed to the older Konftel models (200/200W/200NI), all three microphones are used.

Update your Konftel 300Mx
Step 1: Install Konftel Upgrade Utility
The Konftel Upgrade Utility is a program developed by Konftel to update the software on your conference phone.
Download and run the installation file and follow the instructions.
You may have to run the installation program as an administrator.

Step 2: Update your Konftel conference phone
Launch the Konftel Upgrade Utility, which will now be in your start menu, and follow the instructions.
We recommend that you allow the Konftel Upgrade Utility to automatically download and install the latest software.
When you are done, you can close the Konftel Upgrade Utility and restart your Konftel.
Manual software download
It is also possible to download the latest version and install the file directly from your computer using the Konftel Upgrade Utility. This can be useful if you have restricted internet access or if a conference phone is not installed and connected to the internet.

Update via SD memory card
You can also use an SD memory card to update the software on your conference phone. In this case you will have to use a specially adapted SD update file. Please note that an update via SD card will reset your conference phone to factory settings.
- Download the required SD file below.
- Copy the file to the SD card and place it in the root of the file structure (2 GB recommended).
- Place the phone in upgrade mode.
- Press the HOLD button (in upgrade mode) to start the upgrade from the SD card.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
