Creating Brighter Smiles That Change Lives This Christmas
With the spectre of Covid still looming large, it’s more important than ever to spread some festive joy and help people smile.
Here at Konftel we are proud to announce our continuing support for Operation Smile, a medical charity that provides surgeries for children born with cleft lip or cleft palate. Take a minute to watch the heart-warming story of Nazifa here:
Operation Smile was founded in 1982 and has been badly affected by the ongoing pandemic. As a result of Covid-19, there are currently over 12,000 children who are waiting for cleft surgery. In these continuing tough times, giving the gift of a smile is even more precious.
Secretary General Annika Billing explained more. “During the pandemic, we have been forced to postpone many thousand operations, and the need for help is greater than ever.
“Our volunteers testify what a relief it is for them to be able to go out into the field again little by little. They know that the queues with children, who need urgent access to safe surgery, has grown during the pandemic year.
“It is only thanks to you and other donors that they can do this at all. It is you who make it possible for us to every year change thousands of lives!”
As 2021 draws to a close let’s hope for brighter days ahead and lots more smiles too.
