How do I set up a conference call with a Konftel telephone?

If three parties wish to have a conference call, it can be done with the help of the three party conference call function in the telephone network/PBX. If more than three parties are to engage in the conference call, you can use a conference call service provided by a service provider.

I don't get a dialtone when I press the green handset. What's wrong?

Check that the Konftel 300 is i the Analogue line mode by pressing the Line Mode button.

I get the message "Analogue overcurrent" when I try to call, how can I solve that?

This message usually appears when you have connected the Konftel to a digital line and not an analogue line that the Konftel requires.

You have to change the default R pulse/Flash time. It can vary from country to country but also depend on the PBX to which Konftel is connected.

I get 'Microphone muted' when I connect Konftel 300 with the computers USB connection. Why?

Upgrade to the latest software. USB audio is then activated automatically.

I get no audio when using the mobile connection.

When you want to use the mobile connection on the phone double check that you have the correct cable and that you have selected "MOBILE" under the "LINE MODE" button. Then you also have to press the green off-hook button to "activate" the connection.

Decrease the volume a notch on the Konftel as shown in the instructions in the user guide.

When I playback a SD recording it sounds "scrambled", what can I do?

With some SD cards the Konftel 300 has issues when it tries to read from it. This is fixed in version 1.25 of the Konftel 300 software. You can find more information on how to upgrade on this web page.

Can I record while I'm not in a call?

Yes, you can use the Konftel 300 if you only want to record a "local" meeting. Do the following: 1. Press the LINE MODE button and select USB (you don't have to connect it to the computer) 2. Press the green off hook button 3. Start the recording by pressing the C/Rec button and confirm with "OK" on the Konftel 300. 4. To stop the recording press the C/Rec button and confirm with "OK"

How do I bridge USB with mobile/analogue?

Since version 1.31 the way Konftel 300 handles USB connection has been changed. Due to this the way to make bridged calls with USB has changed as well. When you have an active analogue/mobile call on the Konftel 300 just press the LINE MODE-button and select USB to bridge the USB call. When you have an active USB call and want to add analogue/mobile to the call. Press the green off-hook button, then press the LINE MODE-button and select USB (which was put on hold when you activated the analogue/mobile connection) to bridge the two connections.

Is the entire call recorded or only when someone is talking?

The entire call is recorded.

The conference guide does not make the call. What is the problem?

There can be two reasons for this: The conference guide's settings. Check or update the following:
1. Click on Menu
2. Click on Conference Guide and then choose Settings
3. Check/update the setting for request, return and conference. Different PBXs and countries have different flash times You must have the right settings for the conference guide to function properly.

2. Click on Setting and then choose Flash/R 3. The predefined Flash time is highlighted. Below are the recommended settings. Flash times: 100 ms – Scandinavia, Europe, Siemens Enterprise Communications HiPath 300 ms – Germany, France, and Israel 500 ms – USA.

Why do I get COM-ERROR 4 when I insert a SD card?

Some of the first Konftel 300 did not support all SD cards up to 2GB. We recommend you to use a Konftel SD card if you get the COM-ERROR 4 message.

My Konftel is connected to a PBX. I follow the instructions for multiparty calls, but it doesn't work.

1. Your PBX does not support mulipart calls. Contact your PBX reseller for upgrading.
2. Your PBX needs another command than R3 to connect more parties, read the table below. Note that the commands can differ due to settings in the PBX.

No, you'll need the new expansion microphones with item number 900102113.

Does the Konftel microphone switch off when extra microphones are connected to my Konftel?

No, as opposed to the older Konftel models (200/200W/200NI), all three microphones are used.

Once a wireless headset has been connected to the Konftel, can it be used for answering?

No. There is only audio transmission going on between the unit and the wireless headset.

What output is used for the headset and PA system respectively?

The AUX port. If you intend to use both the wireless headset and PA system at the same time, connect the headset to the PA system.

How to install the latest version
Update your Konftel 300
Step 1: Install Konftel Upgrade Utility
The Konftel Upgrade Utility is a program developed by Konftel to update the software on your conference phone.
Download and run the installation file and follow the instructions.
You may have to run the installation program as an administrator.
System RequirementsDownload Upgrade Utility
Step 2: Update your Konftel conference phone
Launch the Konftel Upgrade Utility, which will now be in your start menu, and follow the instructions.
We recommend that you allow the Konftel Upgrade Utility to automatically download and install the latest software.
When you are done, you can close the Konftel Upgrade Utility and restart your Konftel.
Manual software download
It is also possible to download the latest version and install the file directly from your computer using the Konftel Upgrade Utility. This can be useful if you have restricted internet access or if a conference phone is not installed and connected to the internet.
