Update

  • Can I update the firmware?

    • Yes, download the Konftel Upgrade Utility from the Konftel web page and follow the instructions.

  • I can't update using the Konftel Upgrade Utility, are there any other options to update?
    • You can update your Konftel with a SD card. Download the SD file from www.konftel.com/Support/Upgrade Put that in the root of the SD card and then put the Konftel conference unit in upgrade mode (MENU > SETTINGS > UPGRADE MODE). Insert the SD card and press the HOLD button to read from it. Follow the instructions on the display on the Konftel. * Please note that when updating using SD card it will reset the phone to factory defaults.

Features

  • Can I record while I'm not in a call?

    • Yes, you can use the Konftel if you only want to record a "local" meeting. Do the following:

      1. Press and hold the C/Rec button and confirm with "OK" on the Konftel.
      2. To stop the recording press the C/Rec button and confirm with "OK".

  • Is the entire call recorded or only when someone is talking?
    • The entire call is recorded.
  • The conference guide does not make the call. What is the problem?
    • There can be two reasons for this: The conference guide's settings. Check or update the following:
      1. Click on Menu
      2. Click on Conference Guide and then choose Settings
      3. Check/update the setting for request, return and conference. Different PBXs and countries have different flash times You must have the right settings for the conference guide to function properly.

      Check or update the following:
      1. Click on Menu
      2. Click on Setting and then choose Flash/R 3. The predefined Flash time is highlighted. Below are the recommended settings. Flash times: 100 ms – Scandinavia, Europe, Siemens Enterprise Communications HiPath 300 ms – Germany, France, and Israel 500 ms – USA.

Update your Konftel 300Wx

Step 1: Install Konftel Upgrade Utility

The Konftel Upgrade Utility is a program developed by Konftel to update the software on your conference phone.

Download and run the installation file and follow the instructions.

You may have to run the installation program as an administrator.

Step 2: Update your Konftel conference phone

Launch the Konftel Upgrade Utility, which will now be in your start menu, and follow the instructions.

We recommend that you allow the Konftel Upgrade Utility to automatically download and install the latest software.

When you are done, you can close the Konftel Upgrade Utility and restart your Konftel.


Manual download

It is also possible to download the latest version and install the file directly from your computer using the Konftel Upgrade Utility. This can be useful if you have restricted internet access or if a conference phone is not installed and connected to the internet.

Update via SD memory card

You can also use an SD memory card to update the software on your conference phone. In this case you will have to use a specially adapted SD update file. Please note that an update via SD card will reset your conference phone to factory settings.

  1. Download the SD file below.
  2. Copy the file to the SD card and place it in the root of the file structure (2 GB recommended).
  3. Place the phone in update mode.
  4. Press the HOLD button (in update mode) to start the update from the SD card.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Update DECT module in Konftel 300Wx

This is necessary to improve compatibility, for example. Follow the steps below to update the DECT firmware on the Konftel 300Wx.

  1. Make sure you have the latest software installed on your Konftel 300Wx before you update the DECT module.
  2. Download the DECT file below.
  3. Copy the file to the SD card and place it in the root of the file structure.
  4. Insert the SD card into your Konftel 300Wx.
  5. Go to MENU (gear) > Settings > Upgrade mode and select DECT.
  6. A progress bar will be shown on the screen during the update, which takes around three minutes. "SUCCESS" should be displayed on the screen when it is completed.
  7. Restart the Konftel 300Wx. You are now ready for normal operation.
  8. Check the DECT firmware version in the menu MENU > STATUS. Scroll using the arrow buttons for more information.

Update Konftel IP DECT 10 via web interface

    1. Log in to the web interface of the IP DECT 10. 
      (You can find the IP address in MENU > STATUS of the Konftel 300Wx)

      IP DECT 10
    2. Click on "Firmware Update" and enter the following values:
      Firmware update server address = http://upgrade.konftel.com
      Firmware path = /Download/konftel_ip_dect_10
      Required version = eg. 355 for version 3.55
      Required branch = eg. 22 for branch 22 (required only if version is same as on IP DECT 10)

    3. Click on “Save/Start update” to proceed with the update.
    4. LEDs will flash red during update and turn green when done.
    5. Log in to IP DECT 10 and check firmware version on status page.

Two-year warranty

Peace of mind

All Konftel models come with a two-year warranty. The warranty is invalidated if the product has been damaged due to negligence, incorrect use, manipulation or unauthorized modification or if the product has been subjected to fire, an electrical storm or a power surge. A fee will be charged for returned products that are found to have no faults.

Servicing after warranty

Servicing is available after the warranty expires. Create a ticket and describe the error and we will send you a costing.
