Can I connect Konftel 55 series to my digital/IP deskphone?

Yes, using the deskphone adapter you will be able to do that. See video below how to connect to deskphone.

Can I connect speakers to the headset port on the Konftel 55?

No, that is not possible.

My Konftel 55 does not start.
-
Please use the power adapter and hold the MUTE-button while you power up the unit. It should boot into upgrade mode. Upgrade the phone using SD card or with Konftel Upgrade Utility. When the upgrade has completed successfully you will be able to start your phone.

You can combine (bridge) the following connections. USB - Deskphone adapter USB - Mobile cable USB - Bluetooth* *Only if you have Konftel 55W.

I get poor microphone audio when using Konftel 55 series with my web meeting tool (eg. Scopia, WebEx)

Make sure that it is the Konftel microphone that's used when you talk. The LEDs on the Konftel should be blue when the microphone is active. Sometimes you will have to restart Internet Explorer before you can use the Konftel 55 as audio device.

The person on the other end who called in to the meeting thinks I sound faint/too loud, What should I do?

The microphone volume can be adjusted. Increase/decrease the volume a notch as shown in the instructions in the user guide, under Volume settings for microphones.

Will both microphone and speaker audio go to the headset when I connect it?

Yes, you will get both speaker and microphone audio to your headset when it's connected to the Konftel 55 series. No audio will be going to the speaker and microphone on the Konftel 55. See video below on how to connect the headset.

My Konftel 55/55Wx sometimes turns off during meetings, why?

When you connect the Konftel 55 and Konftel 55Wx with USB, also make sure to plug the wall power to the unit. The wall power adapter with a separate connection cable is included in the original box. This will make sure that you have a unit with optimal audio performance.

Which telephones work with the conference phone?

The conference unit can be connected to virtually all system/IP telephones on the market. For a more detailed check the Interoperability for this product.

Can I connect my Konftel 55/55W to the headset port on an Alcate-Lucent phone 8- & 9-series?

Yes, you can use the Plantronics cable with PN 38378-01 connected to the deskphone adapter of the Konftel 55/55W to the headset port on the Alcatel-Lucent phone. See cable below.

Does the Konftel microphone switch off when extra microphones are connected to my Konftel?

No, as opposed to the older Konftel models (200/200W/200NI), all three microphones are used.

Upgrade your Konftel 55
Step 1: Install Konftel Upgrade Utility
The Konftel Upgrade Utility is a program developed by Konftel to update the software on your conference phone.
Download and run the installation file and follow the instructions.
You may have to run the installation program as an administrator.

Step 2: Update your Konftel conference phone
Launch the Konftel Upgrade Utility, which will now be in your start menu, and follow the instructions.
We recommend that you allow the Konftel Upgrade Utility to automatically download and install the latest software.
When you are done, you can close the Konftel Upgrade Utility and restart your Konftel.
Manual software download
It is also possible to download the latest version and install the file directly from your computer using the Konftel Upgrade Utility. This can be useful if you have restricted internet access or if a conference phone is not installed and connected to the internet. Another option is to update the software with an SD memory card. (The Konftel 55 uses the same software for updating via an SD card as for updating via the Konftel Upgrade Utility).
