Can I turn off the keypad sound?

Yes, the keypad sound can be disabled by pressing the green button for five seconds.

How do I make Konftel Ego discoverable for Bluetooth pairing?

By pressing the Bluetooth button for two seconds, Konftel Ego will be discoverable for other Bluetooth devices.

How to remove all existing Bluetooth paired devices?

Press the Bluetooth button for five seconds to clear the list of paired devices on Konftel Ego.

I cannot get Blueooth pairing/connect working using NFC – what can I do?
-
Make sure that the NFC-antenna of your mobile device (typically the NFC-logo marks the spot) is placed directly above the NFC-mark on Konftel Ego. Also make sure that NFC is enabled in your mobile device and that the mobile device is not locked. Also note that Apple/iOS devices do not support simplified Bluetooth pairing with NFC.

Why does not NFC work with my Apple (Iphone, Ipad) device?

NFC is today only supported by Android devices.

Will Ego be automatically reconnected to my mobile when I enter the room?

No. You need to make a manual reconnect from Konftel Ego or your mobile. This is to improve the user experience in a shared conference room when several users enter the room at the same time.

Yes. Konftel Ego has wideband acoustic cancellation powerer by OmniSound.

After firmware update, do I need to make a new Bluetooth pairing?

Yes. On your mobile phone, Konftel Ego might still be indicated as a paired device after firmware update. Remove it before starting the new pairing procedure.

Can I see which firmware version that’s installed in Konftel Ego?

Yes. Press the power button shortly two times on the back of the product to show the firmware version in the LCD. NOTE! The firmware version can only be shown when Bluetooth is inactive.

Can I update the firmware?

Yes, download the Konftel Upgrade Utility from the Konftel web page and follow the instructions.

My Konftel Ego is stuck in the firmware update process (showing an arrow on the display). What to do?

You can cancel the update process by pressing the following sequence: mute, bluetooth, mute, bluetooth, mute, bluetooth.

Can I disable SD recording?

Yes, that is possible but once it's disabled you cannot activate it again. Contact Konftel support for instructions.

Can I use the music controls (play/pause, next track, previous track) when playing music over USB?

No, music control is only supported when Konftel Ego is connected to a Bluetooth device that supports AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).

Does Ego support call control for other UC clients than Skype for Business?

Konftel Ego can be used as an excellent speakerphone to any UC client. But for the moment, only Skype for Business is supported with full call control.

Does Ego support call control for Skype for Business (Lync)?

Yes. Konftel Ego is ideal to be used together with Skype for Business. You can answer, end and putting a call on hold from Konftel Ego when used with Skype for Business.

Does Konftel Ego automatically power down to save battery time?

Yes, Konftel Ego will power down after 30 minutes of inactivity.

During Bluetooth music streaming, can I play/pause/skip?

Yes, buttons are available on Konftel Ego for play/pause/skip forward/back.

How can I see the battery status?

Press the power button shortly on the back of the product to show the battery status in the LCD.

If playing music on my Konftel Ego via USB and an incoming Skype for Business call comes. Why is the music mixed with the speech?

This controlled by a setting in your computer. In your sound settings, on the Communication sheet you can decide if the music should be stopped or mixed together with the speech.

Conversations are saved in Wave format and can be played back on most media players.

Indication of battery status is today only supported by Apple devices.

No, only one mobile phone (or tablet, laptop) can be actively connected to Konftel Ego at a time.

Up to 8 devices can be paired to Konftel Ego but only one device can be connected/used at a time.

What does green LED light indicate?

The green LED light is indicating that the microphone of Konftel Ego is active and there’s a call in progress.

The blue LED light is indicating that Konftel Ego is connected to a Bluetooth device.

What does the flashing red LED light indicate?

The flashing red LED light is indicating low battery. The low battery symbol will be shown in the LCD.

What's the battery capacity?

Konftel Ego can be used in active speech or music mode for 12 hours. It can be idle for 72 hours without charging.

When would you want to use a headset?
-
When someone is standing and speaking at a distance from the other conference participants, for instance, in front of a whiteboard. A headset can help enhance the sound for this person.
A headset allows people with hearing impairments to hear sounds from the other extensions directly in their ear.

Oppdater Konftel Ego
Step 1: Install Konftel Upgrade Utility
The Konftel Upgrade Utility is a program developed by Konftel to update the software on your conference phone.
Download and run the installation file and follow the instructions.
You may have to run the installation program as an administrator.

Download Upgrade Utility for MacOS (Only works with Konftel Ego)
Step 2: Update your Konftel conference phone
Launch the Konftel Upgrade Utility, which will now be in your start menu, and follow the instructions.
We recommend that you allow the Konftel Upgrade Utility to automatically download and install the latest software.
When you are done, you can close the Konftel Upgrade Utility and restart your Konftel.
Manual software download
It is also possible to download the latest version and install the file directly from your computer using the Konftel Upgrade Utility. This can be useful if you have restricted internet access or if a conference phone is not installed and connected to the internet.
